After 1099 four small crusader states cling to the coast of the eastern Mediterranean, defended by monk-knights such as the Templars and Hospitallers. Students locate the states and their castles, and follow the orders after the last crusader city fell in 1291.
Una llamada de la historia · nuevo
June 1187, the day before the Battle of Hattin
The Hospitaller camp near Tiberias, Kingdom of Jerusalem
“You must decide whether to advise King Guy of Jerusalem and his council to march our entire army, including the knights of the Hospitaller and Templar orders, to try to break the siege at Tiberias, despite the risk of thirst and exhaustion. Or, you can advise caution and hold our position near water, letting Tiberias stand alone for now. Both choices carry great risk.”
Should we march to relieve Tiberias, or stay where we have water and defend our position?
