Ein Anruf aus der Geschichte · neu
The morning after the battle of Ridaniya, January 1517
Near the gates of Cairo, Egypt
“You must decide if you will surrender Cairo to Sultan Selim’s Ottomans, hoping to spare your people, or continue to resist, risking more fighting and destruction. The Ottoman army is strong, but some Mamluks and Egyptians are still loyal to you. Surrender might save lives, but resistance could mean freedom, if you succeed.”
Should I surrender Cairo to the Ottomans, or keep fighting?
